Air Fryer Chicken Breasts:
Ingredients:
– 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– ½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
– ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Use paper towels to pat the chicken breasts dry.
Evenly pound the chicken to about 1 inch thick for uniform cooking.
2. Season the Chicken:
Coat both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil.
In a separate bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Evenly distribute the seasoning blend over both sides of the chicken breasts.
3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set the air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 3-5 minutes.
4. Cook the Chicken:
Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
Cook for 8-10 minutes on one side, then flip and continue cooking for an additional 7-8 minutes on the opposite side.
Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F (74°C).
5. Rest and Serve:
Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes post-cooking to help retain moisture.
Slice and serve alongside your preferred accompaniments, such as roasted vegetables, salad, or rice.
