Chicken
Croissants with Chicken Salad
Ingredients:
4 croissants (freshly baked or store-bought)
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: Lettuce, tomato slices, or avocado for added toppings
Instructions:
1. Prepare the chicken salad:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, lemon juice, and parsley.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix everything well until the ingredients are evenly coated.
2. Assemble the croissants:
Slice each croissant horizontally.
If desired, place a layer of lettuce, tomato, or avocado slices on the bottom half of the croissant.
Scoop the prepared chicken salad onto the bottom half of each croissant.
Place the top half of the croissant over the filling.
3. Serve:
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes for a chilled sandwich.
Pair with a side of fruit or a light salad.
