Banana bread
banana bread
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar (you can reduce this to 1/2 cup for less sweetness)
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
2. Mix Butter and Bananas: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
3. Add Dry Ingredients: Mix in the baking soda and salt. Then add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
4. Incorporate Flour: Stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy!
Slice and serve your banana bread plain, or with butter, nuts, or chocolate chips for extra flavor!
