Amish Hamburger Steak

Amish Hamburger Steak Bake Recipe
Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 cup bread crumbs
– ½ cup finely chopped onion
– 1 egg
– ½ cup milk
– 1 tsp salt
– ½ tsp black pepper
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
– ½ cup water
– 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Swiss or mozzarella)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape the mixture into small oval patties.
3. Arrange the patties in a greased baking dish.
4. In another bowl, blend the cream of mushroom soup with water, then pour this mixture over the patties.
5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
6. After 30 minutes, remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the patties, and continue baking uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve hot alongside mashed potatoes
