Hamburger potato

Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole recipe that is ideal for a comforting meal:

Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground beef
– 5-6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
– 1 small onion, diced
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
– Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Ground Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil or butter. Sauté the diced onions until they become translucent, then add the ground beef. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, then drain any excess fat.

Prepare the Sauce:
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup with milk until well blended.

Layer the Casserole:
In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, start with a layer of sliced potatoes. Follow with a layer of the cooked ground beef mixture. Drizzle some of the soup mixture over the beef, then add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, ensuring the final layer is a generous amount of cheese.

Bake:
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and golden.

Serve:
Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with parsley or green onions if desired. Enjoy!

This casserole is excellent for leftovers and can be easily adapted with additional vegetables such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
