My Renowned Cream Cheese Pie

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

– 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 prepared graham cracker crust (9-inch)

For the Topping:

– 1 cup sour cream
– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat the Oven:

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure optimal baking conditions.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar, beating until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring thorough mixing after each addition. Finally, blend in the vanilla extract until fully integrated.

Assemble and Bake:

Pour the cream cheese filling into the prepared graham cracker crust, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the center is set yet still slightly jiggly.

Prepare the Sour Cream Topping:

While the pie is baking, combine the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a small bowl, mixing until smooth and well combined.
