Cheesy Biscuit Bake Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or sausage

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom or cheddar soup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: chopped onions or bell peppers for added flavor

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage. Drain any excess fat.

3. Prepare the filling: Combine the condensed soup, milk, garlic powder, pepper, and half of the cheese in the skillet. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

4. Arrange the biscuits: Cut each biscuit into quarters and place half of the pieces at the bottom of the greased baking dish.

5. Build the casserole: Evenly distribute the meat mixture over the biscuits. Add the remaining biscuit pieces on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.

6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and fully cooked.

7. Serve: Allow it to cool slightly before serving warm.
