Mash potatoe
Ground Beef and Gravy served over Mashed Potatoes is a delightful and comforting traditional dish.
Ingredients:
4-5 russet potatoes (peeled and diced)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk (or more for preferred consistency)
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Ground Beef and Gravy:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
In a large pot, immerse the potatoes in water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain the water thoroughly.
While the potatoes are still hot, return them to the pot and mash them using a potato masher or hand mixer. Incorporate the butter and milk, mixing until the texture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper according to your taste. Set aside.
