Chicken Noodle Casserole
Ingredients:
– 2 cups cooked chicken, either shredded or diced
– 3 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained
– 1 cup frozen peas (or a mix of vegetables)
– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or an alternative cream of chicken)
– 1 cup milk
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Combine ingredients: Incorporate the cooked chicken, egg noodles, peas, and shredded cheese into the sauce, mixing thoroughly.
4. Assemble the casserole: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
5. Prepare the topping: In a separate small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.
6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
