Scrambled Egg Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:

– 4 slices of your preferred bread
– 4 large eggs
– 1/4 cup milk (optional, for a fluffier texture)
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
– 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
– Optional: chopped green onions, cooked bacon bits, or diced vegetables for added flavor

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Eggs:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (if using), salt, and pepper until well blended. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of butter, and scramble the eggs to your preferred doneness. Remove from heat.

2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of two slices, place the scrambled eggs and sprinkle with shredded cheese. If desired, add extras such as bacon or vegetables. Top with the remaining slices, ensuring the buttered side is facing outward.

3. Grill the Sandwiches:

Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, applying gentle pressure, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

4. Serve:

Cut the sandwiches in half and savor them while warm!
