Beef casserole
Cheesy Ground Beef Casserole with Bacon
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup diced bacon, cooked
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend of your choice)
1/2 cup sour cream or cream cheese
Optional: Italian seasoning or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain any excess fat.
3. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
5. Spread sour cream or cream cheese over the beef layer.
6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top, followed by the cooked bacon.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Garnish with Italian seasoning or parsley, if desired.
