Sweet Potato Pie Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 large sweet potato (about 1 pound)

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup milk

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Sweet Potato:

Boil the sweet potato in a pot of water until tender, about 40-50 minutes. Drain and let it cool. Peel off the skin and mash the sweet potato in a bowl.

2. Make the Filling:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potato with the softened butter. Stir in the sugar, milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

3. Assemble the Pie:

Pour the sweet potato filling into the unbaked pie crust.

4. Bake:

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 55 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

5. Cool:

Let the pie cool on a wire rack before serving.
