Turtle Caramel Cake recipe that combines chocolate, caramel, and pecans to create a rich, decadent treat:

Ingredients:

Cake:

1 box Devil’s food cake mix (or your preferred chocolate cake mix)

1 cup water (or as directed on the cake mix box)

1/3 cup vegetable oil (or as directed on the cake mix box)

3 large eggs (or as directed on the cake mix box)

Caramel Layer:

1 cup caramel bits or soft caramel candies (about 30 unwrapped)

1/3 cup evaporated milk

Turtle Toppings:

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup melted butter (for drizzling)

Additional caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Extra pecans and chocolate chips (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare Cake Batter:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using the water, oil, and eggs. Set aside.

2. Prepare Caramel Layer:

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel bits with evaporated milk. Stir every 20-30 seconds until smooth.

3. Layering the Cake:

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 15 minutes, or until it’s slightly firm but not fully cooked.

Remove the cake from the oven and pour the melted caramel over the partially baked cake.

Sprinkle the chopped pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the caramel layer.

Pour the remaining cake batter over the caramel, pecans, and chocolate chips.

4. Bake the Cake:

Return the cake to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the top layer is cooked through (check with a toothpick for doneness).

5. Finishing Touches:

Let the cake cool for about 10-15 minutes.

Drizzle the melted butter, additional caramel sauce, and extra pecans and chocolate chips over the top of the cake.

6. Serve:

Cut into squares and enjoy!
