CHUCK POTJIE

INGREDIENTS
3 teaspoons cooking oil
3 kg chuck cut up
3 onions chopped
6 carrots chopped
3 cups peas
1 kg baby potatoes
2 cups celery sliced
3 bay leaves
2 cups mushrooms sliced
2 teaspoons salt
1,5 L beef stock
3 pkts tomato paste
3 tablespoons brown onion soup powder
1 ½ cups red wine or orange juice

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil in the pot and add the meat and fry until browned all over.
Add in the seasonings with the onions and fry for about 3 minutes.
Add in the rest of the ingredients.
In a bowl mix the tomato paste, soup powder with the wine and stock and pour into the pot.
Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes or until meat and veggies are done.
