Garlic Butter Chicken Breast
Ingredients:
– 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 tsp salt
– ½ tsp black pepper
– ½ tsp paprika
– ½ tsp garlic powder
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 3 tbsp unsalted butter
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tsp Italian seasoning
– 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
– 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the chicken: Dry the chicken breasts with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
2. Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until it is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
3. Create the garlic butter sauce: Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet, then mix in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the mixture is fragrant.
4. Glaze the chicken: Place the chicken back into the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over it. Allow it to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
5. Serve: Optionally drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish.
This dish pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a light salad.
