Ranch Green Beans and Potatoes with Bacon.

Ingredients:
– 1 lb baby potatoes (red or Yukon gold), halved
– 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
– 4 slices bacon, chopped
– 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– ½ teaspoon black pepper
– ½ cup chicken broth (or water)

Instructions:

Prepare the Bacon – In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until it becomes crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, retaining some of the grease in the skillet.

Cook the Potatoes – Add butter to the skillet with the reserved bacon grease. Incorporate the halved potatoes, seasoning them with garlic powder and black pepper. Cook for approximately 5 minutes until they begin to brown.

Incorporate Green Beans – Add the fresh green beans and ranch seasoning mix to the skillet. Pour in the chicken broth, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and the green beans are cooked yet still slightly crisp.

Combine with Bacon – Mix in the crispy bacon, ensuring everything is well combined, and cook for an additional minute to meld the flavors.

Serve & Enjoy! – This dish makes an excellent side or can stand alone as a satisfying main course.
