Chicken casserole
Chicken Bubble Biscuit Bake Casserole
Ingredients:
– 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken is a great option)
– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp onion powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits (such as Pillsbury Grands)
– 2 tbsp melted butter
– Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well blended, then gently fold in the shredded chicken.
3. Biscuit Preparation: Cut each biscuit into quarters and mix them with the melted butter.
4. Assemble the Casserole: Evenly distribute the chicken mixture in the prepared baking dish. Place the biscuit pieces on top of the chicken mixture, pressing them lightly into the sauce.
5. Add Cheese: Top the biscuits with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
6. Baking: Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and fully cooked.
7. Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, add chopped green onions or parsley for garnish if desired, and serve warm.
