Taco salad
Dorito Taco Salad:
Ingredients:
– 1 lb lean ground beef
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 2/3 cup water
– 1 head of iceberg lettuce, chopped into bite-sized pieces
– 1 red or orange bell pepper, diced
– 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
– 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained (optional)
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup sliced green onions
– 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
– 1 cup Catalina dressing (or your preferred taco salad dressing)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef:
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and water, then simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
2. Combine the Salad Ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix together the chopped lettuce, diced bell pepper, halved cherry tomatoes, black beans (if using), and shredded cheese.
3. Incorporate the Beef:
Once the beef has cooled, add it to the salad mixture. Sprinkle the crushed Doritos and sliced green onions on top.
4. Add Dressing:
Pour the Catalina dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine all ingredients evenly.
5. Serve Immediately:
Serve the salad right away to maintain the crunchiness of the Doritos. Enjoy!
