Juicy Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta 🍤🥩
Indulge in a luxurious Cajun Alfredo pasta, topped with perfectly seasoned steak bites and juicy shrimp for an irresistible meal.
Ingredients:
For the Steak and Shrimp:
• 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
• 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Alfredo Sauce:
• 3 tbsp butter
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
• 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
• 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
• Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine or linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
• Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Steak:
• Season steak pieces with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
• Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
• Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:
• In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.
• Season shrimp with the remaining 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, then add to the skillet.
• Sauté for 2-3 minutes per side, until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
4️⃣ Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
• In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
• Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
• Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
• Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5️⃣ Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
• Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta thoroughly in the creamy sauce.
6️⃣ Assemble the Dish:
• Plate the creamy Alfredo pasta as the base. Arrange the Cajun steak bites and shrimp on top.
• Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and flavor.
Chef’s Tips:
• Extra Spice: For a spicier kick, sprinkle additional Cajun seasoning over the shrimp and steak.
• Extra Creaminess: Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the Alfredo sauce needs thinning out.
