Banana split
No-Bake Banana Split Cake:
Ingredients:
Crust:
– 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer:
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Fruit and Topping Layers:
– 2-3 bananas, sliced
– 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
– 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
– 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are ideal)
– Chocolate syrup, for drizzling
– Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Crust:
In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until the crumbs are fully moistened. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish. Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the next layer.
2. Cream Cheese Layer:
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Spread this layer evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust.
3. Add the Bananas and Pineapple:
Evenly distribute the banana slices over the cream cheese layer. Then, spoon the drained crushed pineapple on top of the bananas, ensuring it is spread out evenly.
4. Whipped Topping:
Carefully spread the thawed whipped topping over the pineapple layer.
5. Add the Finishing Touches:
Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the whipped topping. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and top with maraschino cherries for garnish.
6. Chill:
Refrigerate the cake for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set and the flavors to combine.
7. Serve:
Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy!
This dessert is rich, fruity, and utterly delightful! It’s an excellent choice for potlucks or whenever you have a craving for a no-bake treat.
