Butterfinger balls

Butterfinger Balls:

Ingredients:

– 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
– 1/2 cup softened butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (or Butterfinger baking bits)
– 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)
– 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, mixing until everything is well blended.

2. Add the Crunch:

Gently fold in the crushed Butterfinger candy, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture, which will become quite thick.

3. Form the Balls:

Take small amounts of the mixture (approximately 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into balls using your hands. Arrange the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour or until they are firm.

4. Melt the Chocolate:

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, you can add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or shortening to achieve a better consistency for dipping.

5. Coat the Balls:

Using a fork or a dipping tool, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, making sure it is completely coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the ball back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Set and Serve:

Allow the chocolate coating to set at room temperature, or place the balls in the refrigerator for a quicker hardening process.

7. Enjoy:

Store the Butterfinger Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

These delightful treats are ideal for holidays, gatherings, or simply as a tasty homemade candy!
