Chocolate Walnut Fudge Recipe

Ingredients:

– 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
– Pinch of salt

For the Topping (Optional):

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.

2. Melt the Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt. Heat over low heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.

3. Add Vanilla & Nuts: Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and chopped walnuts (if desired).

4. Pour into Pan: Evenly distribute the mixture into the lined baking dish.

5. Prepare Topping (Optional): Melt the chocolate chips and butter together until smooth. Pour this mixture over the fudge layer and spread it evenly.

6. Set the Fudge: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm.

7. Cut and Serve: Use the parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the dish. Cut into squares and enjoy!
