Ingredients
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 8 slices of bacon (2 slices per chicken breast)
– 2 tablespoons of brown sugar (optional for a sweet glaze)
– 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
– 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
– ½ teaspoon of onion powder
– ½ teaspoon of black pepper
– Salt to taste
– Toothpicks (optional, for securing the bacon)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with foil and placing a wire rack on top.
2. Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Evenly rub this seasoning mixture over the chicken breasts.
3. Wrap with Bacon: Take each chicken breast and wrap it with 2 slices of bacon, ensuring they slightly overlap to cover the entire surface. If necessary, use toothpicks to secure the ends.
4. Optional Sweet Glaze: For a hint of sweetness, evenly sprinkle brown sugar over the bacon-wrapped chicken.
5. Bake: Position the bacon-wrapped chicken on the wire rack and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
