Air fryer chicken
Air fryer chicken thighs offer an exceptional combination of crispiness, flavor, and juiciness, making them a delightful choice for any meal. With a cooking time of only 25 minutes, they are an ideal option for hectic weeknights.
Total Time: 35 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs. chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on (approximately 4 pieces)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by placing the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag. Add the vegetable oil along with all the seasonings. Seal the bag securely and shake it thoroughly. Ensure that the air is pressed out and that the bag is tightly closed. Massage the seasoning around the chicken to ensure an even coating (alternatively, you may marinate the chicken in a bowl covered with plastic wrap). Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour, or up to overnight for enhanced flavor.
When you are ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 375°F for about 5 minutes. Arrange the thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin side up, and cook for 25-28 minutes until the skin achieves a crispy, golden brown finish to your liking. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F as indicated by a meat thermometer.
Serve immediately alongside your preferred side dishes or vegetables, such as mashed potatoes, air fryer garlic green beans, or air fryer broccoli.
