Sweet Potato Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
– 2 cups of cooked and mashed sweet potatoes (approximately 2 medium sweet potatoes)
– 1 cup of sugar
– 1/2 cup of melted butter
– 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
– 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Cook the sweet potatoes by boiling or baking them until they are tender. Allow them to cool, then peel and mash until they reach a smooth consistency.
3. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, blend the mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, melted butter, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
4. Fill the Crust: Transfer the sweet potato mixture into the unbaked pie crust, ensuring it is spread evenly.
