Fries
golden homemade fries
Ingredients
– 3 large potatoes, peeled and sliced into fry shapes
– 1 egg white
– 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
– Salt, to taste
– Optional seasonings: paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
2. Prepare the Potatoes: After peeling the potatoes, cut them into fry-shaped pieces. Use a paper towel to pat them dry, eliminating any excess moisture.
3. Coat with Egg White: In a large mixing bowl, combine the fries with the egg white, ensuring they are well coated. The egg white will contribute to a crispier texture.
4. Add Oil and Seasoning: Incorporate the vegetable oil, salt, and any optional seasonings of your choice, such as paprika or garlic powder. Toss the fries to ensure an even coating.
5. Bake: Arrange the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
6. Serve: Once baked, remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley or additional salt if desired. Serve them warm alongside your preferred dipping sauce.
Enjoy your homemade crispy fries!
