Pineapple Cream Cheese Pie:
Ingredients
For the Crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
For the Filling:
1 (8 oz) package of softened cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (8 oz) can of well-drained crushed pineapple
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Topping:
1 cup whipped topping or homemade whipped cream
Additional crushed pineapple for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then allow to cool.
2. Create the Filling: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until the mixture is smooth. Incorporate the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Gently fold in the drained crushed pineapple.
3. Assemble the Pie: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, ensuring it is spread evenly. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, or until the filling is set.
4. Add the Topping and Serve: Prior to serving, spread the whipped topping over the pie and, if desired, garnish with additional crushed pineapple.
