Wendy’s Chili – A Recipe to Keep
Ingredients:
– 1 pound of ground beef
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 (14.5 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
– 1 (14.5 ounce) can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained
– 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
– 1 cup of water
– 2 tablespoons of chili powder
– 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Instructions:
In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat over medium heat and cook the ground beef until it is browned, stirring occasionally to crumble the meat.
Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the vegetables are soft, approximately 5-7 minutes.
Incorporate the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, water, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cinnamon into the mixture. Bring it to a boil.
Lower the heat and allow the chili to simmer for a minimum of 30 minutes, enabling the flavors to blend harmoniously.
Serve the chili hot, accompanied by your preferred toppings such as cheese, sour cream, or chopped onions. Enjoy your meal!
