Casserole
Hamburger Potato Casserole:
Ingredients:
– 1 pound of ground beef
– 4 to 5 medium-sized potatoes, sliced thinly
– 1 small onion, diced
– 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 can (10.5 ounces) of cream of mushroom soup
– 1/2 cup of milk
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the diced onion. Drain any excess fat.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the milk until well combined.
4. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, create a layer with half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the ground beef mixture, and then sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese.
6. Evenly distribute the soup and milk mixture over the top of the casserole.
7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Afterward, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
