Brown Sugar and Bacon Baked Beans:

Ingredients:

6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, diced

2 cans (15 oz each) of baked beans

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tbsp yellow mustard

1 tbsp molasses (optional for a deeper flavor)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Cook Bacon and Onion: In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until it’s crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until it’s soft and translucent.

3. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and molasses. Add in the cooked bacon and onions, and stir everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper if needed.

4. Bake: Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the beans are bubbly and thickened.

5. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy!

These baked beans are a perfect side for BBQs, potlucks, or family gatherings!
