Bread pudding
Bread Pudding Ingredients:
4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread
1/2 cup raisins
2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Vanilla Sauce Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare Bread Mixture: Place the cubed bread in a greased 8×8 baking dish. Sprinkle raisins evenly over the bread.
3. Heat Milk and Butter: In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat until the butter melts. Pour over the bread mixture.
4. Mix Remaining Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the bread and gently mix.
5. Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set and golden brown.
6. Prepare Vanilla Sauce: In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat until the sugars dissolve. Stir in vanilla extract.
7. Serve: Drizzle the warm vanilla sauce over the bread pudding.
