Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole. It’s a comforting dish that’s sure to please!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

4 medium potatoes, sliced thin

1 small onion, chopped

1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)

1/2 cup milk

1-2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or other spices you like

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Brown the Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onions until the beef is browned and the onions are softened. Drain any excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.

3. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined.

4. Layer Ingredients:

In a greased casserole dish, start with a layer of sliced potatoes.

Add a layer of the cooked ground beef mixture.

Pour some of the soup mixture over the beef and potatoes.

Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese.

5. Repeat Layers: Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

6. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil for the last 15 minutes to let the cheese on top get bubbly and golden.

7. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your warm, cheesy casserole!

This casserole is great on its own or with a side of veggies or a fresh salad.
