Ingredients:

2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 4×8 inch loaf pan.

2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.

3. Mix in baking soda and salt. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.

4. Add the flour and mix until combined.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth out the top.

6. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
