5-Minute Caramel Walnuts:

Ingredients:

1 cup walnut halves

½ cup granulated sugar

2 tbsp water

1 tbsp butter (optional for extra richness)

Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the walnuts: Lightly toast the walnut halves in a dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.

2. Make the caramel: In the same pan, add sugar and water. Heat over medium heat without stirring. Let the sugar dissolve, then cook until it turns a light amber color. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

3. Coat the walnuts: Quickly stir in the toasted walnuts to coat them in the caramel. You can also add butter at this stage for a creamier caramel.

4. Spread and cool: Transfer the caramel-coated walnuts to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread them out so they don’t stick together. Let them cool for a few minutes.

5. Serve: Once cooled, break them apart if needed. These caramel walnuts are perfect for snacking, topping desserts, or adding to salads!
