Sausage and Cheese Bites (Biscuit Sausage Balls)

Ingredients:

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, depending on preference)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups Bisquick (or another baking mix)

1/4 cup milk

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for extra flavor

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked sausage, shredded cheese, Bisquick, and milk. If you want to add extra seasoning, mix in the garlic powder and cayenne pepper at this stage.

3. Use your hands or a spoon to fully combine the ingredients. The mixture should hold together, but it will be a bit sticky.

4. Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them in a mini-muffin pan or on a baking sheet.

5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Let them cool slightly before serving.
