Turkey and Stuffing Balls
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
2 cups prepared stuffing (your favorite recipe or store-bought)
1 egg
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (if mixture is too wet)
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease lightly.
2. Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey, prepared stuffing, egg, Parmesan cheese (if using), parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, salt, and pepper. If the mixture feels too wet, add breadcrumbs a little at a time until it holds together.
3. Form the Balls: Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. You should get about 12-16 balls, depending on size.
4. Brush with Oil: Lightly brush the turkey and stuffing balls with olive oil or melted butter to help them brown.
5. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the balls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
6. Serve: Serve the turkey and stuffing balls with gravy, cranberry sauce, or as part of your holiday meal!
Enjoy your turkey and stuffing balls!
