Chicken
Outback Steakhouse’s popular chicken dish, specifically their signature Alice Springs Chicken:
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup honey mustard dressing
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, mix the honey mustard dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).
2. Cook the Chicken:
Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
3. Add Toppings:
During the last few minutes of cooking, top each chicken breast with crumbled bacon and a mix of the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses. Cover to melt the cheese.
4. Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey, and Dijon mustard. Mix well.
5. Serve:
Plate the chicken and drizzle with honey mustard sauce. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
