Bangers and Mash

>Ingredients:
**For the Bangers:**
– 6 pork sausages
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

**For the Mash:**
– 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
– 1/2 cup milk (or more, as needed)
– 2 tablespoons butter
– Salt and pepper to taste

**For the Onion Gravy (optional but recommended):**
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 2 cups beef or vegetable stock
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt and pepper to taste

>Instructions:

**1. Prepare the Mash:**
1.1. Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water for about 15 minutes, or until tender.
1.2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust milk as needed for desired consistency.

**2. Cook the Sausages:**
2.1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2.2. Add the sausages and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (about 15-20 minutes).
