Cake

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 large apple, peeled and chopped

1 cup vegetable oil

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.

3. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

5. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

6. Fold in Apples: Gently fold in the chopped apple.

7. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

8. Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
